Magic Mirror

GearTooth Magic Mirror by DropBOB Designs

I’ve completed my Original Magic Mirror Design. There are a few different tutorials on the web on how to build one of these. This is not a tutorial. It can help you visualize what you need to do to build one, but this is mostly a proof of concept, as is most of my work. If you are interested in a custom build like this, feel free to message me and I’ll do my best to help. Something like this can range from $800 to $1,500 depending on how complicated you want it to be.

“SN03” – Plague Doctor Cosplay

This plague doctor cosplay was inspired from my trip to Venice. Much of the folklore around plague doctors originated from around that area. It turns out that the bird-looking masks are both to scare the diseases, and to fill the mask noses with fragrances to keep the stench out. I also wanted to try out some intricate leather work and wanted to keep my Halloween costume simple this year.

Computer upgrades – A History of my Computer

So I’ve finally upgraded my computer, Again, I guess. I’ve built my own computer ever since my university laptop (the Toshiba Tecra M3 — Pentium M 750 1.86 GHz, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB HDD) died. I remember when that happened … I opened it up and there was so much dust in it that it probably overheated and maybe something shorted out. It was a complete bust. I’m actually rather surprised that it lasted that long. University life is quite rough and it lasted the better part of about 4-4.5 years (almost my whole time at Uni). When I […]

3D modeling a Bathroom Tiling Job

Bathroom Tiling: Bathroom tiling is probably not something the typical homeowner enjoys doing. But a good tiling job can make a huge difference in a home. Our current home has sheet linoleum in both of our bathrooms. It’s been ok, nothing fancy and it’s still in pretty good shape, but we’ve wanted to tile these washrooms ever since we bought this place like 4 years ago. Baseboards: The other day, we noticed that one of our baseboards is getting really moisture damaged near the tub. So I’ve decided that this is the next most important project in the house. I […]

Bathroom Upgrade – Always know where your Towel is!

Even non-interstellar hitchhiker’s should have a decent place to keep their towel! After all, it is only the most useful thing a person can own! Why not give your boring old bathroom a fresh new look. I like to go for the Industrial-Chic look myself. So, after a long overdue respite, I finally continued on my bathroom upgrade from lore (In August of 2014 I replaced by toilet paper holder with black steel pipe … almost 4 years later, now I am completing that project). So there are 4 main things that I need to upgrade: Keep my counter clear […]
