I completed the Pyramid Head cosplay that was commissioned a few months ago. I wanted to share some of the images that Peculiarity Productions, a small stage production company, has shared with me.
So it turns out the Helmet was too big for my customer. The measurements seemed fine, and they were the same measurements as my own head so I thought it would have been perfect …
I’ve made an assembly video for the Pyramid Head cosplay I recently sold on my Etsy Shop. See below for the full assembly instructions (should take you about 25-30 min of assembly time): Hope you enjoy your new DropBOB Original!
Shipping is often overlooked by new businesses and startups. But it’s actually one of the most important things to review and plan for. I actually custom designed my shipping box so that I could ship as efficiently as possible. Often, if you are stuck using a standard box, you end up filling it with too much filler, and you pay (and charge) too much for what you’re shipping. So when I was designing the merchandise, I fully thought out the packing and shipping situation, all in virtual reality!
So I’ve completed the Made-to-Order Pyramid Head helmet for a Silent Hill Stage Production commissioned through my Etsy Shop. Here’s the Recap. I built most of the structure & was ready for paint just this past Weekend.
With the materials all unpacked and ready to be assembled, today’s build day started out with a bang … or rather a high pitched hum of the Dremel saw. As per Jenny by-law (of which I haven’t been able to find in writing yet), the noise making was allowed to start at 11am. That’s pretty much when I started laying out the wooden frame patterns.
So the approvals are back! The Etsy listing updated and the order confirmed! Things are rolling. I’ve purchased all the materials needed from the hardware store. I’ll be picking this up tomorrow. Just in time for me to begin manufacturing on the weekend. Stoked!
So, I’ve completed the Design of the Pyramid head Cosplay that was requested . Below are the approval drawings created. I’m actually quite happy about how the design turned out. I’m really looking forward to making this thing! Just to give you an idea comparing this with my original design. I actually tried to ship the original design, but quickly learned about the rules of regular shipping (i.e less than 2.7m of Girth + length). Needless to say, the shipping (through LTL) was too much for the purchaser to accept. So I still have this packaged up. The original was a […]
So I’ve been busy working on finishing the Model and coming up with a good set of Approvals/Layouts for my commissioned Pyramid Head Cosplay. It’s been a real hit on my Etsy Page. I’m not quite happy with these yet, but it’s a start. I often berate the drafters at my “other job” for having terrible drawings … but making drawings from scratch is hard. Especially when the information you want to convey/receive is not fully defined yet.
Currently working on a commissioned project. A re-make to my original Pyramid head Cosplay from back a few years ago. Now I can finally make it better!
